SOCA Elite teams are getting ready to close out the fall CCL campaign with a final match day against the VBR Star on Sunday, December 15.  The match ups will include the U16 through U19 boys and girls teams, with games taking place at Charlottesville High School stadium (boys) and Albemarle High School stadium (girls).

Over the recent December 6-9 weekend, the same SOCA Elite teams showed themselves well in the CCL College Showcase in Richmond.  In the Friday matches SOCA stormed to six wins and only two losses against LMVSC.  On Saturday, the local squads split against Beach FC with three wins, two draws and three losses.  Closing out the weekend against Arlington, SOCA earned five wins and three losses.

Going in to the final fall matches against VBR, SOCA is sitting second in the overall CCL club standings.  A successful outing against the visiting Star may allow SOCA to overtake Beach FC at the top of the table going into the winter break.

Action will resume for the U16-U19 squads on January 25, with a match day planned against NVSC.  A second College Showcase will take place on the weekend of January 31-February 2, where SOCA will face FC Frederick, Loudoun and Alexandria.
